We encourage students to set goals and to reach an obtainable goal.
America's Fund Run has 8 prize levels for the students to achieve. Goals can be reached with per lap donations or flat donations.
Please note:
All prizes are cumulative meaning the child can keep getting an additional prize at the next prize level. Prizes are based on a per lap donation meaning if their Aunt or Uncle donated $1 per lap then the $1 per lap would be based on how many laps the child can run. The track is 1/16th of a mile and the average laps that can be ran is 35. A $1 donation would = $35
Flat Rate Donations: Flat rate donations can be made to the student where the student receives a set $ amount before the run takes place. The student can collect these funds immediately.
Prize Level: To figure out the prize level your child is at you have to add up the per lap total $ pledged plus you will have to figure out the flat rate donation conversion. To convert a flat rate donation we suggest dividing the total flat rate donations by 25.
For Example:
Student has $10 in lap pledges
Studen also has $200 in flat rate donations
Total lap pledges would be =
$10 in lap pledges
plus
$200/$25=$8
Total Lap pledges would be $10+$8
Total = $18 in lap pledges. Look in the corresponding category in the pledge book.
